The BMA in collaboration with Sri lanka society of nephrology is pleased to organized a CME programme on screening, optimal management and follow up of diabetes and hypertension associated Chronic Kidney Disease will be held on 12th march 2026. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is an increasingly prevalent global health concern, strongly associated with hypertension and diabetes mellitus. These two conditions remain the leading causes of CKD worldwide and significantly contribute to morbidity, mortality, and healthcare burden.
This Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the pathophysiological link between diabetes, hypertension, and kidney damage. The session will focus on early identification, risk stratification, evidence-based management strategies, and prevention of disease progression.
This programme is designed to enhance clinicians’ knowledge, improve patient outcomes, and promote a multidisciplinary approach in managing CKD associated with hypertension and diabetes. Dr S.B.A.M. Mujahith, Consultant Nephrologist, will conduct this programme
